I'm Jim Moseley. In my teens, I wanted to find God. So, I plunged into world religions. I studied Islam in the Middle East, crossed the Himalayas to meet the Dalai Lama, made pilgrimages to the Buddha’s Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya, the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar, the Hindu holy site of Varanasi, the Kinkakuji Temple in Kyoto, and a Sufi shrine lost in a Javan jungle. At length, I grew tired of seekers after truth – I wanted to be a finder of it. So, reluctantly, I turned to the Bible and began to devote my "educated" intellect to the task of taking it apart. To my astonishment, the battering rams of “enlightenment” kept splintering against the gates of Scripture. Everywhere I turned – archaeology, paleontology, astronomy, history, physics, mathematics, and philosophy – the Bible proved right, and my beliefs proved wrong. As a Christian I have never found any rational basis for doubting the Bible's literal truth. And I learned that Faith is the Daughter of Doubt.
I believe the Bible is divine, not only human, in origin. So, I am a Christian who believes in the literal truth of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I believe that it can be defended on the basis of pure reason with no recourse to faith. I believe that God is one God in three Persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that the Trinity is not a man-made doctrine but one that emerges repeatedly in God's Biblical description of himself, even in the Old Testament. I believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Second Person of the Trinity and that he became a man, allowed himself to be crucified to death, and rose from the tomb for exactly the reason he stated - that all who believe in him might not perish but have everlasting life. I believe that salvation from a life of constant sinning ending in meaningless death is possible only by having the faith to accept the grace God offers through Jesus, the Messiah, the Christ.
In 2008, Grace Church of Glendora, California asked me to teach Adult Sunday School. I was nervous. But I ended up teaching the whole Bible, verse by verse, repeatedly, from then until 2016. I grappled with every Biblical problem and apparent contradiction in faith and religion that I could find. From seeming discrepancies with chronology, science, philosophy, and other religions, I discovered, through 8,000 hours of research and teaching and through writing over 1,000 GB of original course material, logical answers to every doubt. I was blessed to have a class of highly educated students, including a professional theologian, philosophers, educators, a filmmaker, mathematicians, a JPL scientist, and avid Bible students of many decades' study. As iron sharpens iron, we sharpened each other. My mission is to present all we discovered to the wider world.
